FAQ’s

Bake’n Joy manufactures frozen predeposited muffins, frozen scoop and bake batters, frozen predeposited PanFree™ muffins and loaf cakes, proportioned cookies, as well as mixes and bases, fillings and toppings. We sell to foodservice and retail bakery operators and distributors.

Because we are a B2B manufacturer, our products are sold through a network of distributors across the contiguous United States.

We do not have a factory retail store.

You are not able to buy direct from us. You are able to purchase a wide variety of products from DOT Foods.

We do not sell online.

The process begins with a call from one of our sales representatives. Send us a note in CONTACT US with your name and contact information and someone will be in touch with you soon thereafter.

The best way to get more Bake’n Joy products in your distributors warehouse is to ask them to carry/pick up the item. Believe it or not, as the customer, you have a greater ability to effect change.

Please contact your Bake’n Joy sales rep to see if the distributor offers a comparable replacement, or if it may be specially ordered through the distributor.

Our products are not gluten free, however we offer a gluten friendly (no gluten added) macaroon in a dry mix, a predeposited cookie or scoop and bake batter.

Yes, all of our products are kosher.

Your Bake’n Joy sales rep can provide you this information. You can also call our 800-666-4937 and our receptionist can direct you to someone who can assist you.

Our predeposited muffins are in liners, so no preparation is necessary, but you may use a light spray of pan release on the top of the pan to ensure they don’t stick. For scooped batter, a light covering of pan spray is recommended.

It is not recommended. The product should remain frozen until ready to bake. Bake times are determined based on the pan at room temperature.

You can, but because baking times vary by flavor, we suggest baking fruited muffins (ie blueberry, cranberry) together and non-fruited muffins (ie chocolate chip, cinnamon) together.

12 to 24 hours. Fruited batters take longer to thaw and it depends on the temperature of the refrigerator.

Batter should NOT be refrozen once it has thawed as it will compromise the integrity of the baked product.

Thawed batter pails can be kept for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.

Our predeposited and PanFree™ muffins are formulated to go from freezer to oven, but you may thaw them slightly (up to 30 minutes at room temperature) before baking.

It is a good idea to have an oven thermometer on hand to regularly check the actual oven temperature.

All of our products have baking instructions, which include oven temperatures and times for both convection ovens and rack ovens. The rule of thumb for convection ovens is to use LOW FAN.

We use a 7 digit item number for each product that is located on the label. The 12 digit code is our manufacturing lot code.
